  Arab-Asian Empires. Abbasid Caliphate. Al-Radi, 322-329 AH (934-940 AD.). Gold Dinar (5.3 g.). Fr-12; Mitch. 172 var. Kufic legend on each side. Dated 323 AH., Suq al-Ahwaz mint. Slight reddish patina, a little cleanable dirt on one side. The weight of 5.3 grams is much too heavy for the normal issue. Perhaps this a 1-1/2 dinar, slightly clipped. Very Fine.
